The successful candidate will support the FP&A function by providing strategic business partnering and data analysis on all major Direct Operating cost (DOC) categories to influence stakeholders. Through a detailed understanding of DOC spend and contract visibility provide analysis and advice on cost saving measures and optimization across the categories. Identifying anomalies, outliers and potential areas to focus on.

In This Role, You Will

  • Support with annual budgets, full year forecasts, mid to long-term plans and targets with the business and procurement and drive the delivery of DOC cost targets.
  • Act as a trusted advisor and Business Partner providing support and challenge to their business area to help manage the value of their organisation.
  • Support with annual budgets, full year forecasts, mid to long-term plans and targets with the business and drive the business to deliver them.
  • Provide advice and consultancy in the development and validation of business cases to support the proposal to invest in new ventures, capital expenditure and large / long-term commercial agreements.
  • Ensure business performance is monitored on a periodic basis through relevant reports, KPIs and meetings (e.g., MFR/MBR?s), including the identification and delegation of actions across the business to improve future business performance.
  • Ensure that an appropriate financial control environment exists in the business to protect the shareholders interest.
  • Ensure the Corporate Governance Manuals are followed across the entities.
  • Lead the development of the finance teams (regardless of reporting line) within the defined business portfolio to ensure a high performing Finance team.

And Specifically To Internal Reporting

  • Support with driving the monthly FP&A reporting, annual budgeting process, full year forecasts, mid to long-term plans modelling, and target setting with the business.
  • Develop and maintain financial models that provide monthly rolling P&L and cash flow forecasts for dnata consolidated and individual businesses, reconcile forecasts vs actuals, and engage with the business to optimise performance and accuracy of forecast.

Qualifications & Experience

In order to be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent).
  • Finance & Insurance/Finance Management: 8+ Years.
  • Degree plus, relevant professional qualifications i.e., MBA or Qualified Accountant.
  • Relevant experience in a Finance, Commercial or Analytical roles including experience a minimum of 3+ years? experience in an FP&A function with a proven history of delivering real value add FP&A support to a business in a dynamic and challenging business environment.

  • Experience providing FP&A support in a dynamic and challenging business environment.
  • Demonstrable experience in providing FP&A support through a period of significant business change.
  • The ability to work with the business and a range of stakeholder providing solid advice and building partnerships.
  • The ability to identify the right data to be translated into powerful stories through PowerBI.
  • High proficiency in MS Excel. (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, tables, and graph production) as well as PowerBI and MS PowerPoint.
